Apps that help Unclutter your email
From USA TODAY
TECH NOW: Tame email overload
In today's "there's a week for everything news," National Clean Out Your Inbox Week is upon us once again. Unlike its more obscure sister-days-of-note, like Electric Blanket Day (Jan. 21) and Eskimo Pie Patent Day (Jan. 24 ) — the N.C.O.Y.I.W. observance deserves some fuss because the average person gets around 10,000 e-mails a year. Managing, sorting and sifting through all that cyberclutter steals precious time and focus. Even with spam filtering, nearly 1-in-5 e-mails that land in your inbox are junk. Here are a handful of top ways to use tech to tame e-mail overload for good. 1. SaneBox This is a favorite of mine. For around $2 a month, you just sign up, add your e-mail account information and let it go to work prioritizing your messages. It figures out which messages are most important to you, and filters out non-urgent e-mails so that you can get to them later. There's nothing to download, and it's compatible on just about any platform, such as Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook and others.
